I purchased this endurance bike in 2016 and rode it through Wales on events such as Tour of Pembroke, the Welsh Velathon, the Gower Sportive, Castles and Cathedrals, the Cambrian Coast Sportive, the Dragon Ride as well as number of other Sportives in Southern England.
In September 2020 I moved to Jordan to work and took my Pyro with me. I joined the Elemnts Cycling Club, a local Jordanian Cycling Club. For the next two and half years, I cycled the desert roads of Jordan and the city roads of Amman. I completed the Dead Sea to Aqaba (Red Sea) Ride in 2021 across the desert, plus rides to Jerash, Nebo/Madaba, Dead Sea, and Wadi Rum.
It was a fabulous time, a very supportive country for cycling (mindful of traffic) and the Pyro never let me down.
I did intend to sell it when I left Jordan at beginning of 2023 but I loved the bike so much I brought it back to Wales upgraded it to an Ultegra and continue to use it along with my Orro Venturi Di2 which I purchased in 2019. I did not take this bike to Jordan using it when I was home in the UK. I love Orro Bikes, reliable, smooth, comfortable and British. I have just ordered a new Gold STC Ultegra Di2 Tailormade, but I am keeping my other two Orro Bikes.
We are thrilled to hear that David has gotten so much use and love out of his range of Orro bikes. We design and build all our bikes with you (our riders) in mind, and it's thrilling to hear all about where our bikes have gone. David's Orro bikes seem to have gone around the world, from the lush green hills of Wales, to the desert roads of Jordan.
We hope David has many more years of fantastic riding ahead of him as part of the Orro community of riders.
