The Gold Shield gilet utilises the same Storm Shield softshell fabric as our Gold Shield jacket with 10,000mm water column tested rain resistance. The protective membrane fabric panels are strategically placed in the direction of travel to protect the rider from prevailing wind and rain. This helps to add windproofing to a long sleeve jersey and is a perfect layering piece for spring and autum rides where the jersey alone isn't enough but the weather doesn't warrant a thicker jacket.
The specially mapped rear panel is in contrast with the front instead offering a lightweight mesh fabric starting below the shoulders which offers fantastic breathability to prevent excessive heat build-up. The rear of the Gold Shield gilet also features pass through pocket holes for easy access to jersey pockets, these are accented in reflective gold trim for better low light visibility.
